Trust me I'm English

This lazy lady hasn't been able to post a single thing for over half a year period.. sorry for that.
I've spent my fall avoiding all things study related n summer learning about the hardship of moving to a brand new country, becoming one effin foreigner. Living in London for three months taught me that the line 'trust me I'm English' means the exact opposite and tomatos and tomatos are not the same thing at all to begin with.

I ran across the film below about a week ago and was really touched by it. It's amazing how strong some people can be no matter what obstacles may occur.

I was hoping it would snow, then the street is quiet, world goes quiet

Last weekend I watched maybe one the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. New York, I love you, is a collage of short film like love stories taking place in New York. Each written and directed by a different people. That's maybe the reason why it has many such deep characters and moments which made me seriously think about the wonders of living and loving.
I actually re-watched the movie yesterday just to get my head around the hidden meanings and messages behind every scene.

below my favorite scene featuring Shia LaBeouf (only one of the hottest men alive and, as you can see in this clip, outstanding actor, with an great Eastern Europe accent it seems), Julie Christie and John Hurt and   written by Anthony Minghella and directed by Shekhar Kapur.
I now have watched this 10minute piece for about 20 times and it still manages to touch me every single time.

close your eyes and tap the heels three times

whilst getting my new passport in Malmi I ended up walking to Koo Kenkä-a finnish shoe shop. 30 minutes later I left the shop with a stupid grin on my face and new pair of vagabond wedges in a box.

The pair I bought was black goat suede pumps on a wedge. The shoes fit my feet perfectly while looking both cool and cute. It goes without saying I love my new babies and will surely put them into use asap. Possibly tomorrow when going out to celebrate may 1st !!

she's a 90's _____

today after work I went for a quick ride with my good good friend Saara. after a nice hour listening to Calvin Harris on ear damaging volume while cruising windows down through Helsinki we ended up in some sort of a wasteland/construction site and decided to do a quick shoot there to take some close-ups. Saara was awesome, as always, I don't know how she does it but her pictures always turn out mindblowing!! Besides my model other thing I also loved was the fact that sun was setting so I got to play with the natural lightning. haven't had a chance to do that in ages !!

here's my fav from today!

starry sky camouflage

My 'non shopping month'-plans met their match as I decided to 'quickly check out' the winter sales at Mango. Well I'm sad (as well as exited) to tell you: those were the best sales I've visited since I have no idea when.
I ended up buying a nice burgundy bowler bag, a lace detail top, metallic shiny jeans and the dream item i would die for, all sequined black blazer with leather detail. I see myself wearing this blazer on a day when I don't feel like spending hours to get ready but still want to look chic! can't wait to actually wear it for the first time..

1989

I've been working my ass of at the cafe doing 8 to 9 hour shifts every day. Therefor my evenings have pretty much been all the same; slowly dying on the couch watching netflix.
However I'm proud to tell you I have managed to find some great classics to be both from 1989.

sex, lies and videotape
a piece everyone should watch. And by that I mean EVERYONE. I'm not even overreacting the characters the clothes the atmosphere! I love it, and so should you.
you really can't explain the plot without ruining the movie so just watch it, please.

say anything...
ok this was maybe the cutest romantic movie I've seen in ages. Preppy girl and a nice, but just ah so too normal, guy. And you actually don't end up hating any of the main roles. I might be just a overly romantic teenager to say this but it actually felt really real, I want this romance!
++ this film actually made me realize the why John Cusack is so great.
